On behalf of UGC, the Central Board of Secondary Education announces holding of the National Eligibility Test(NET) on 08 July 2018 (SUNDAY )for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian universities and colleges. CBSE will conduct NET in 83 subjects (listed under item no.14 on page 11) at 88 selected Cities of Examination (listed under item no.15 on page 13) spread across the country.

Declaration of CBSE UGC NET July 2018

The result of the UGC-NET to be held on 08 July, 2018 will be made available on the websites: www.cbsenet.nic.in as and when it is declared. The candidate will not be individually intimated about their result. The candidates who qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professor. The universities, institutions, IITs and other national organizations may select the JRF awardees for whole time research work in accordance with the procedure prescribed by them

CBSE UGC NET Admit Card 2018:

National Eligibility Test is to determine eligibility for college & university level lectureship and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research. CBSE is conducting this NET in 78 subjects at 74 selected university centres around the country. The Examination is conducted in Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science. NET is for determining the eligibility of candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowship/Lectureship in Science subjects and is conducted jointly with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi. Candidates who qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject. The candidates qualifying for Lectureship will not be considered for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
