DU Admission 2018: Important Dates

The exam dates mentioned below are tentative based on the DU admission process every year. We shall update the exact dates as soon as the official notification is out.

Closing of Online Registration 4th week of May 2018
Exam Date 3rd week of June – 4th week of June 2018
Result Declaration 1st week of July 2018

Application form for UG merit-based programmes will be available from May, 2018 and those for Under Graduate programmes where entrance exams will be held, forms will be available from May, 2018. PG application form will also be available from May, 2018. M.Phil and PhD Programme admission application forms will be available from May 31, 2018.

Admission Process for Under Graduate & Post Graduate Courses may start from April End or from May, 2018. Admission for 2018-19 Session will start after completion of Board Exams.

Note: UG Entrance exam is held only for some courses which are Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), B.A (Hons) Business Economics, Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis), B.Tech. (Information Technology and Mathematical Innovations), B.A (Hons) Humanities and Social Sciences, Bachelors of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.), Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Health Education & Sports: B.Sc. (P.E.,H.E. & S.) and B.A (Hons) Multimedia and Mass Communication.

DU Admission 2018: Admit Card

After successfully submitting the application form, candidates will get an admit card. Candidates shall be required to carry the admit card with them to the examination center. Those who fail to carry their admit cards will not be allowed entry into the examination hall.

DU Admission 2018: Result

The result of the DU entrance exam is announced every year in the month of July. After the declaration of exam results, candidates shall get a call from DU to appear for the counselling. Candidates can then take admission in their preferred college to pursue the desired degree. Click Here

DU Admission 2018: Cut Off

All colleges under Delhi University have the sole right to determine their individual cutoffs for UG programmes. There are a few UG courses, for which a national level entrance exam is organised by the University. However, admission to programmes for which the entrance exam is not conducted, admission will be based on students’ merit in the class 12th Board exam.

The merit list for the general category seats will comprise of all the candidates in the order of merit .No one will be excluded from the same. In other words, it will also include SC / ST / OBC candidates If they come in general merit. The candidate cannot be excluded from the general category merit list just because he belongs to SC/ST/OBC. Such a candidate is entitled to be considered under the general category, as well as under the reserved category. Admission to open category seats will be strictly in the .order of merit without excluding SC/ST/OBC.
