Central Board of Secondary Examination will release the result for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2018 tomorrow. The pen-paper based JEE Main 2018 exam was conducted on April 2, while computer-based JEE Main exam was conducted on April 8 and April 9. Every year more than 12 lakh students appear for JEE Main exam. JEE Main exams are conducted for admission to BTech, BE and B.Arch programmes offered at NITs, IIITs, and other government approved engineering institutes. JEE Main scores are also accepted for admission by many private engineering institute which makes the JEE Main results all the more important.

JEE Main rank list is expected on 27th April and all India ranks will be provided to 12 lakh aspirants. The publication of JEE Main rank list is considered to be as part two of results. The allocation to around 34,781 seats for 629 courses in 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 18 GFTIs and 20 IIITs this year will be provided on the basis of All India Rank (AIR) obtained by students in JEE Main 2018.

Score and Result for JEE (Main) – 2018

www.jeemain.nic.in Results : The score of Paper-I of JEE (Main) – 2018 for all candidates will be declared by 27th April 2018. This score shall comprise the actual marks obtained in Paper-I of JEE (Main) – 2018 along with the status of those who qualify for appearing in JEE (Advanced) – 2018 provided and subject to other conditions of eligibility being met.

Separately, on the basis of score in JEE (Main)-2018 and normalised score in Class 12th or equivalent qualifying exam (60% & 40% weightage respectively), separate rank lists will be prepared for admission to B.E./B. Tech. and B. Arch/ B. Planning (in institutions other than IITs). This will be declared on or before 30th of June 2018. JEE (Main)-2018 Rank Card indicating All India Rank, State Rank and Category Rank with total marks and marks in each paper will be available on JEE (Main) website after the declaration of result.

Regular classes and a bit of confidence helped Rajasthan’s Kalpit Veerwal score full marks and clinch the All India Rank 1 in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2018. The results were announced on Thursday.

Veerwal told Hindustan Times over the phone from Udaipur the chairperson of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), RK Chaturvedi, called him in the morning to give him the news. He is the topper in general as well Scheduled Caste category. He has scored 360 out of 360 in the examination.

Vrunda Rathi, the All India Rank (AIR) 1 in Girls’ category from Nashik, Maharashtra is also a classical Flute player. With a score of 312/360, she wants to study at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore over the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). She intends to pursue her Bachelor in Science (BSc) from IISc, Bangalore, as she aspires to be a Researcher, though she is yet to pick up a major. However, this is the least of her worries as of now. In the midst of preparing for JEE Advanced 2018, the celebrations have already started. Rathi’s mother received a call from CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) Chairman RK Chaturvedi, congratulating her on her daughter’s JEE Main’s performance.

JEE Main 2018 Results Paper 1, 2 : Admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.
